We braved the cold for an evening of fun...at least that was the plan. Dane had to work one of the booths so we thought we would go see what Christmas on the
Chisholm Trail was all about and it was going to have pictures with Santa which would save a trip to the crowded mall with three children. The kids had lots of fun jumping in the bouncy house, looking at the animals in the petting zoo, riding the tractor train, and looking at the craft/vendor booths...until the sun went down. It was so cold they all turned into
Popsicles and we hadn't seen Santa yet. We got some hot chocolate and visited with Dane while we waited for him to arrive. They made it through seeing Santa but that was all. I was so proud of Lyndsey this year- she actually sat in Santa's lap, told him what she wanted very specifically, and gave him a big hug. Shelby was shy telling him what she wanted but she did tell him. Michael did exactly what I thought he would- since he has a thing for long hair, he grabbed a big handful of Santa's beard and pulled it down a little which made Santa laugh. Despite all that, they took a great picture which I'll post after I get it scanned. We did have a great time despite being frozen and two of the three wore themselves out and slept on the short drive home.

Bouncing away as usual!

Notice Lyndsey's face- apparently her horn fell off on the ride and she was very upset because she didn't get to honk the whole way like she was supposed to do! Notice Shelby- turned to talk to Lyndsey about the problem because she thinks she needs to know about and fix everything!

Daddy and the kids- I love this picture!

Santa finally arrived with his fire and police escort. He rode in this old truck- pretty cool just very loud.
