Why does that seem so far away?

Michael Leon is expected to arrive next Monday morning. I am scheduled for a c-section on Monday, April 6 at 8 am but I have to be there at 6:30. My doctor is out of town so I will be seeing a different doctor that I haven't seen before for the c-section. It makes me extremely nervous but apparently this doctor has been doing them forever. If by chance Michael turns around between now and then, I may not have him Monday- they might send me home and it may be Tuesday or Wednesday depending on how many inductions are scheduled for that day. That didn't make sense to me but whatever! I know that the recovery from a c-section takes longer so I'm hoping the girls won't be too wound up being out of school the Friday and Monday after. They are mommy's girls so it's going to be a little rough at first.

Have a good week!

Baby Showers

Okay, so I'm a little delayed in posting baby showers pictures but I'm just now motivated to get them all done.

We had a Wii Wee shower at church with our Bible Fellowship class. It was a blast as you will see with the pictures! We are blessed to have such wonderful friends to share our children with.

I also had a diaper shower at work as well. I don't know most of the teachers very well, but they still ask each day how I'm doing and if I need anything. It's been a great change of pace from the last few years! Teaching special ed makes it hard to get to know everyone but I figure over the next few years, I'll get to know them all. They are a great bunch to work with!

"I are free Mommy!"

Lyndsey has now turned 3. It's a big milestone to her. She thinks it's the best thing ever. We had her purple party full of balloons, family, and a Barney cake. She was so proud of that cake- she still talks about it! I can't believe how much she has grown up over the last year- it makes me cry that my baby girl is as big as her sister and just about outtalks her too.

Lyndsey wanted two things this year- a bike and her ears pierced. We had the rule no earrings until you are 4 but she really only wanted them and talked about it for 2 months so we gave in. She seems happy now to get her ears pierced but the after picture wasn't so cute. She cried but got over it fast. She makes sure each morning she has her flower earrings in and makes sure everyone else knows she has them in as well!

Baby Update

Okay, so this pregnancy is going super! No signs of preeclampsia and no induction! Baby Michael gets to come whenever he is ready...so who knows how long it will be! I just want him to wait until after Lyndsey's birthday next week.

Thanks to all for the prayers! They are helping out and we really appreciate them. Keep helping us pray that he comes at a time when the doctor is in town which isn't very often in the next few weeks unfortunately. She's gone the 17th-21st and the 27th through the second week of April.

Baby Michael Update

I went to the doctor yesterday and had another ultrasound. Michael looks good- he weighs a little over 5 lbs. right now. He has turned and is head down. Now we just have to wait for him to come or me to be induced whichever one happens first. He is expected to weigh about as much as the girls which is somewhere in the 6 lb range when he is born. We didn't get any good pictures this time because he had his head turned to the right and you couldn't see his profile. We did notice he has a big head and big feet- so we are making the guess he's going to look like his daddy (that's what Lyndsey looked like too in utero)!

We had a diaper shower with our Bible Fellowship class last weekend. It was a Wii Wee shower- we got lots of diapers and wipes to get us started and had fun playing Wii tennis and bowling. We are blessed to have such wonderful friends to share our little blessing with. Both of the other couples who were expecting had their little boys already so we are anxiously awaiting ours!

Have a good rest of the week!
